Fedele – Nero d’Avola 2016 is a beautifully young and vibrant red blend of mainly Nero d’Avola with small amounts of Merlot and Syrah. Packed full of ripe red fruits and red berry flavours, sweet spices and liquorice. Soft and subtle tannins and with a round and generous palate. Fantastic quality for the price and we list it gladly as really good organic wine under £10 is hard to find.

Ideal served with pizza, red meat, hamburgers, and tomato-based pasta dishes.

The vineyards are situated on the hills of Trapani, where they soak up the wonderful Sicilian sun and cool, ocean breezes. The grapes are hand-picked in early October, then are de-stemmed and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures not exceeding 28 degrees Celsius, with frequent pumping-over in order to ensure optimum extraction of colour and gentle tannins. After fermentation, the three grapes are then blended together. Nero d’Avola is Sicily’s number 1 grape variety, and is indigenous to the island.
