If you are new to online checkouts or if you have not used our website before then this page makes things a little clearer. We have designed this website to be as simple and easy to use as practically possible, using the very latest technology that works on everything from desktops right down to smart phones.
Despite our efforts there are quite a few things to consider so the first time you place an order it can be a little confusing.
Here’s how it all works.
Choose your wines:
On the wine list you can only add a single bottle of each wine to the basket. This is to make things quicker for people who know what they want and only want a single bottle of each wine. If you require more than one bottle you can either click on the wine to go to the product page where you can read more about the wine and select the number of bottles you require. If you don’t need to read about the wine, the quicker way is to select a single bottle of each wine and go to the basket where you can adjust the number of each of the wines chosen.
Basket:
When you have selected the wines you want, you have the option to go to the basket to review your order where you can ad or remove any items or change the quantity of each item.
Once you are happy with your selection proceed to the Checkout.
Checkout:
This is where you enter your address details, select the delivery option you require and finally pay for your order.
Adress details: If your order is being delivered to your home address or the address where the card is registered you only need to enter that address once in the left hand section of the page under ‘Billing address’. The second address option is only for those wishing to send the items to a different address. If you click here it will launch a second address form where you can enter the delivery address.
NB The available delivery options will update once you have entered the postcode in one or both of these forms and clicked out of the field. For instance if your card address is in our local NW postcodes you will see same-day delivery options listed. If you then enter a delivery address outside of those postcodes those options will disappear and national, overnight options will remain.
Local delivery: If you live in the Central North West postcodes we can deliver to you same-day. Once you select the same day option you choose your delivery slot and you’re done.
See our page delivery pricing and conditions for a more details explanation.
Once all completed you must agree to the terms and conditions and click Continue to Payment
Payment:
We use a system called Stripe. It is totally independent and one of the most popular systems nowadays as it is so simple to use. We do not store, process or even see you card details. They are sent to Stripe and processed by them. If you are a returning customer you can choose to store your details with Stripe. Their system will ask for your mobile phone number which is then used to verify your identity on any future transaction which is a reassuring extra layer of security we think. It is totally secure and every transaction you make is then checked by sending you a text message with a verification code on future transactions. You simply enter the code and Stripe processes your payment without you having to re-enter your card details.
